JAYNE MORGAN

Position: Currently working with Radio Grahamstown on programming, production training and marketing.

Jayne Morgan is a audio specialist who has worked for the BBC(Radio 4 in the UK), SABC (Safm) and Primedia (Talk Radio 702). She was head of radio training for the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism and has lectured in radio production at NEMISA and Rhodes University. In 2007 she set up Podcart to produce downloadable audio for brands and, through that, discovered a whole new love in social media. She is now working with Iindaba Ziyafika on all things audio as well as lecturing in the radio department of Rhodes School of Journalism and Media Studies.

KHAYA THONJENI

                    

Position: Radio and Training Manager

Khaya started his stint a decade ago at Unitra community radio in Mthatha which is campus based community radio station as a presenter, producer and executive producer. He has also worked extensively for the Eastern Cape community radio forum producing the "Ten years of democracy" radio documentaries on the service delivery by Eastern Cape government after 10 years of democracy. He graduated at former University of Transkei now called Walter Sisulu University in Library and information science. He later graduated in postgraduate diploma in media management and journalism from Rhodes University. He also got an international certificate as a trainer from Radio Netherlands training Centre in Holland in 2010. He is currently heading the radio and training services at Knight Foundation
